Royal Rainmaking Operation (Radar stations)
Weather Radar Station
Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation uses weather radars to detect location and rainfall, movement and intensity of the precipitation which is essential for planning rainmaking operation, hail suppression, warning aircraft during the operation, and operation result evaluation. There are 10 weather radar stations nationwide, divided into 5 stationary radar stations (S Band Doppler of 2.8 GHz) and 5 mobile radar stations (C Band Doppler of 5.6 GHz) as follows:
